PSA immunisation training is intended to provide registered pharmacists, who meet the pre-requisite requirements, with the knowledge and skills to establish and deliver a successful immunisation service, including administration of injections. Manage the delivery and administration of injections and immunisations (APPIMM806) is based on the training program used to successfully train pharmacists worldwide.
On completion of this unit you will have developed skills in patient assessment, preparing and administering vaccinations, vaccination after-care and records management. Upon completion of this unit and following registration with the Department of Health Tasmania, you will be able to establish, manage and deliver an immunisation service.
