HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (QLD) – 17 April 2020

Register now for this workshop if you are wanting to complete both CPR and First Aid training. It is a requirement that all pharmacists who are providing Immunisation services to have a valid HLTAID003 and HLTAID001 Certificates. HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid offered through the PSA has been specifically designed to meet the needs of pharmacists and pharmacy assistants in a primary care setting in providing first aid during medical emergencies. More specifically, it provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support.

This course is assessed through demonstration, presentation and application of all elements of competency in the workplace. Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role-plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios. Upon successful completion, you will be issued with a statement of attainment valid for 3 years for HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid and a statement of attainment valid of 1 year for HLTAID001 – Provide CPR.

Note: This course will involve participants undertaking extensive online training and theory assessments prior to a short face to face assessment. All other course work will be completed online which will be sent via the Training Provider once you have registered.

The face to face assessments are currently capped at two participants and run for approx 20- 30 minutes at the venue specified. Allocated times will be sent to delegates to attend their nominated face to face assessment time which will be held on the nominated day of the workshop.
