Atrial fibrillation and primary stroke prevention – Bunbury

Location details to be confirmed
Patients presenting with AF have a high risk of stroke due to blood stasis in the atria. Appropriately managing patients with AF with rate and/or rhythm control, along with proper anticoagulation can greatly reduce their risk of thromboembolic events. With a selection of anticoagulants available, choosing which is most appropriate is based on patient preference and desired outcomes.

This workshop will guide pharmacists through the acute and ongoing management of AF, and stroke risk reduction with warfarin and NOACs.
